The Home Equity Product manager will be part of the Santander’s Home Equity Product Management team responsible for the strategy, roadmap, design, and implementation of the Home Equity Products and their differentiated value proposition. The new member of our team will drive profitable and sustainable sales and portfolio growth through collaborative partnership with key partners. The product manager will ensure our product features and end-to-end execution align with Santander’s strategy and exceed our its customer expectations. We are looking for a highly energetic and driven professional with a proven track record of successfully creating and managing lending products and delivering growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all activities and tactics associated with Home Equity product design, development, and management at all stages of its lifecycle.

  • Interfaces and collaborates with stakeholders across functions to ensure successful product innovation and execution that wows customers and prospects.

  • Plans and defines product roadmap and evolution. Build business cases, gathers and prioritize requirements, and develop tactics that will drives sales growth and profitability, deliver a digital experience, and optimized operational efficiency.

  • Continuously monitors the market, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to ensure our product features are in line to provide consumers with an outstanding value proposition while increasing market share and profitability levels.

  • Create and launch new loan partnerships and loan purchase flows in order to expand the home equity portfolio and its revenue in an innovative and rapid way.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance in advertising & marketing, application disclosures, processing and servicing. Lead project teams to implement new compliance requirements as required.

  • Develops and optimize the Home Equity pricing and distribution strategies with analytics partners. Create innovative offers and closed market gaps.

  • Partners with Marketing and Sales Strategy teams to develop new content and tactics to drive sales and portfolio growth across multiple channels.

  • Support development of training and sales tools for all different channels and colleagues. Promote and spread knowledge and excitement about the home equity product across Santander.

  • Leads cross-functional teams to deliver new product changes that will reduce customer complaints and fix issues.

  • Supports Finance with annual budgeting process to establish growth rates, targets and outlooks.

  • Work in partnership with 1st line and 2nd line risk partners to optimize product credit policies and workflows while providing a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, or equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience

  • 5-9 years’ Experience in product management and delivering to the market and building strong and effective relationships with key partners within an organization.

  • Solid understanding the impact of regulatory changes to the products

  • Strong background in Home Equity and/or Mortgage products and services

  • Demonstrated understanding of product development life cycle

  • Strong analytical skills/financial acumen

  • Demonstrates the ability to create strategic plans and lay out a strategic course of action to drive future business growth for a specific product

  • Self-starter: forward thinking, with a positive/can-do attitude

  • Demonstrates the ability to translate customer needs into marketable product features

  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal teams, key partners and executive management

  • Demonstrates the ability to translate client needs into marketable product features

  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
