We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Associate CMBS Trader. In this role, you will work closely with senior traders to execute trading strategies, analyze market trends, and manage risk in the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) market.

Essential Functions/ Responsibility Statements:

  • Execute trading orders and implement trading strategies in the CMBS market.

  • Analyze market data and trends to identify trading opportunities and inform investment decisions.

  • Collaborate with research, sales, and other trading desks to develop and execute client-focused trading strategies.

  • Monitor and manage risk exposures, including market, credit, and operational risks.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients and counterparties to facilitate trading activities.

  • Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in CMBS trading, preferably within a financial institution or investment bank.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Knowledge of fixed income markets, securitization, and financial modeling is preferred.

  • Series 7 and Series 63/66 licenses are a plus.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $175,000-$200,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
